MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3 JUNE GAME INFORMER COVER ANNOUNCEMENT REVEALS TWO NEW CHARACTERS

Game Informer just unveiled the cover for their June issue issue and Marvel video game lovers have a lot to get excited over as it spotlights Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order which arrives this July, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

Originally developed by Raven Software as well as Vicarious Visions with publishing duties being handled by Activision, the Marvel Ultimate Alliance series was a continuation of the dungeon crawling, multiplayer action-RPG X-Men Legends franchise before it was expanded beyond one part of the Marvel Universe to the whole of it. Raven was responsible for developing both X-Men Legends games as well as the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance, but the sequel – and the last we heard of the series until now – Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 which loosely retold the Civil War story line was handled by Vicarious Visions. This latest entry is a collaboration between Nintendo who is handling publishing duties and Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja.

Along with the announcement of cover story, Game Informer also revealed two new characters for the game: Hawkeye, who appeared in the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance but not the second and Ms. Marvel.

While Ms. Marvel has appeared in the Activision games, it was Carol Danvers who now goes by Captain Marvel in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3. The new Ms. Marvel, Kamala Kahn, makes her debut in the in this latest entry and brings her Inhuman ability to manipulate her shape.

Keep your eye out for the new Game Informer and keep following their website for online exclusive features on Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 as well.

  1. I played the X-Men Legends games with my younger brother back then but never really played much of the Ultimate Alliance games, so I’m looking forward to playing this. 😎
