Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate, the roguelike developed by Super Evil Megacorp, by nature is designed to keep players coming back for just one more run. Now they’ll have more incentive to do so as today the studio who brought Splintered Fate to life announced a content roadmap which will see it arriving on more platforms later this year with DLC and updates coming at a later date to all platforms.
Released last year as part of the Apple Arcade subscription service, a port of Splintered Fate came to Nintendo Switch this summer. Before the end of the year, it will also launch on both the Epic Games Store and Steam where it will have up to 90 achievements. Super Evil Megacorp is also planning to make Splintered Fate run as optimally as possible on the Steam Deck. An update coming soon will allows users on Apple Arcade to play with those on Nintendo Switch, and with the PC release, every will be able to join up to fight the Foot regardless of platform.
Perhaps the most exciting update from the developer update is that work has begun on more content for Splintered Fate. This will include another playable character and 4 new chapters that will further the story with additional environments and enemies. Super Evil Megacorp is hoping that this will be just the first addition of this type and are also looking into releasing a physical edition of their title too.
In our review of TMNT: Splintered Fate we said:
“Blending the anthropomorphic reptiles roots in the arcade with the roguelike space, developer Super Evil Megacorp has modernized the halcyon days of the TMNT into something that simply cannot be missed.”
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is available now as part of the Apple Arcade subscription, as a standalone purchase on Nintendo Switch, and is coming to PC later this year.
