With Grand Theft Auto VI moving away from this May and into the fall, or even beyond, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight had a comfortable release date of May 29th, 2026. Now in a strange twist in the video game industry, there’s an actual positive development around a hotly anticipated game as players will be getting their hands on Legacy of the Dark Knight even earlier than expected.
Yesterday WB Games made the announcement that the latest LEGO Batman outing will now launch on May 22nd, 2026. That is, if you pre-order the Standard Edition. Those who buy into the Deluxe Edition can start playing on May 19th. Regardless of what edition you get, all users can unlock a costume inspired by The Dark Knight Returns.
It should be noted that this shift is only for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series family of consoles and PC. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will arrive later in the year.
