Rewind all the way back to the year 2009 and you’ll recall that not only did that year see the first ever Batman “Arkham” game released to stores in Batman: Arkham Asylum, but it also housed the first debut teaser for Batman: Arkham City mere months after that game’s launch during the December Spike VGA’s (Video Game Awards.)
A new teaser for the upcoming December VGA’s seems to indicate that in 2014, history just might repeat itself. The preview in question ended with the Scarecrow, in his full Arkahm Knight redesign glory, cryptically saying “All that’s left for you to do is watch” perhaps indicating that we’ll see the anticipated game make an appearance during the show after going dark on any real news now for many months. With the big Fall games now mostly out-of-the-way and Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham on store shelves, it’s looking like WB Games and Rocksteady are ramping up the public awareness campaign for the final chapter in the “Arkham” franchise.
This year’s VGA’s take place on December 5th starting at 9 PM EST.
