Not content releasing three versions of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 (the original, Ultimate and PSVita port), it was discovered via the NeoGaf message boards that the publishser famous for rereleases is readying Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capom 3X.

The rumor was started when a poster discovered a piece of artwork with the UMVC3 logo over a giant yellow “X”. Senior Vice-President Sven returned from GDC with the following words: “Just got back from GDC so I’ll make this short: that is completely fake.” The thread was then subsequently shut down.

In all honesty, this is Capcom who released countless four versions of Street Fighter IV since 2009, not to mention most of the franchises in their stable. It’s been abolished for now, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this makes its way to either stores or digital services in the future.
