TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: EMPIRE CITY COMES TO META QUEST AND STEAM VR IN 2026

It seems like not a week goes by that there’s some new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game project either announced or coming out. On May 22nd, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown arrived exclusively on Steam from Strange Scaffold, and the excellent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate just made it’s way to PlayStation and will come to Xbox shortly.

From arcade brawlers, to tactics and roguelikes, there’s very few genres the TMNT haven’t touched and next year they’ll add another: VR. Coming in 2026, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City from developer Cortopia Studios (Gorn 2) and publisher Beyond Frames Entertainment is described as a first-person action game with parkour elements from its product page.

Like most games based on the now 40-year old franchise, you can expect to tussle with fan favorite villains – though none have been named – in a world where Shredder’s defeat has left a vacuum in the New York City underworld. Best of all, you’ll be able to do tackle these threats on your own or with up to 4 friends cooperatively.
