Last December at the Spike VGA’s, the videogame for the Amazing Spider-Man film was shown for the first time in video form. This week developer Beenox showcased the first gameplay trailer from the upcoming film tie-in:

A lot of people missed the open world gameplay that Treyarch had started with Spider-Man 2 back in 2004 when Beenox’s games went more level based. Hopefully this game will be able to tie the two together, for as much as players loved Treyarch’s Spider-Man games when they were outside, the interior levels were the series low point. Beenox has nailed this in both Shattered Dimensions and Edge of Time and from the video, it looks like they are on the right track with the outdoor environments as well.
