Unless you’ve been living under a rock this week, you may have heard that Warner Bros. recently announced the complete cast for their forthcoming Suicide Squad movie. Not only are the members of Task Force X getting a push on the big screen, but in the video game space as well in the next part of the Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Season Pass. Titled “The Squad,” the new mission involves Amanda Waller (a new addition to the already massive roster) sending the Sui..I mean “Squad” on a mission to stop someone from breaking into Belle Reve Penitentiary. Outside of Waller, new versions of characters already in the game, like Harley Quinn, Deathstroke, Captain Boomerang (who just appeared on “Arrow”) and Deadshot will come in the pack along with another new comer, El Diablo.
Those who purchased the Season Pass for the game can download it when it becomes available in early 2015, or at a price of $2.99 a la carte. It’s also interesting point that a prediction I made about the Suicide Squad getting a big media push is starting to happen, food for thought. Maybe a standalone game starring Task Force X will come around sooner than we thought…
