When the Season Pass was announced for Batman: Arkham Knight earlier this week, fans were more than a little but off by its high price tag ($39.99), especially when only vague details were given as to what would be included in said Season Pass. Well, it seems that someone was listening to fan outcry as more specifics have been given for what you’ll get should you pony up the extra $40:
Batgirl: A Matter of Family
An all new prequel story expansion in an entirely new location where you play as Batgirl for the very first time in the Arkham series – check out the first render of Batgirl.
The Season of Infamy
Play as Batman in all new story missions featuring legendary super-villains invading Gotham City, with new story arcs, missions and gameplay features.
Gotham City Stories
Play as Batman’s key allies in narrative missions extending their storylines, from both before and after the events in Batman: Arkham Knight.
Legendary Batmobiles with Themed Tracks
Drive the most iconic Batmobiles from Batman’s 75-year history, on custom-built race tracks, each themed to that Batmobile’s specific era. Every Batmobile will be drivable across every race track.
Crimefighter Challenge Maps
Engage in a series of new challenge maps utilizing the unique play styles of Batman and his allies.
Character Skins
A variety of skins from across the eras for Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman.
Yes, you read that first bullet point correctly: For the first time in Arkham series history, players will be able to play as Batgirl, a character who up until this point in the universe has always been in her Oracle persona. Also included in the news was the first ever look at Batgirl as she’ll appear in the Arkham universe:
While I’m still a bit hesitant to throw down the extra $40, the Batgirl prequel along with the Season of Infamy and Gotham City Stories story content have me more than a little intrigued. Does this change anyone else’s opinion about Batman: Arkham Knight’s pricey Season Pass?
Most of the time, season passes are ONLY worth the money if you plan on getting EVERY single piece of DLC. For example, if you don’t care awfully much about race tracks and Batmobiles, then you’ll actually save some (albeit not much) money if you choose to pay for all the other DLC individually.

I’ve never been one for costumes and all that stuff. With both City and Origins I only bought the story DLC, though I did go and buy the GOTY edition for Arkham City to have it all on disc.
