One game I forgot to put on my 2016 comic book game preview was Overkill’s The Walking Dead FPS, probably because we didn’t really know a lot about it and the developer has been rather silent on it as well. The reason being for that is perhaps due to the fact that it was recently delayed into the second half of 2017. For a game set to arrive in 2016, a noticeable absence of either video or even screenshots were telling that fans shouldn’t expect to play this any time in this calendar year, but a delay is never a bad thing. The last time The Walking Dead arrived as an FPS it was in 2013 in the form of Activision’s game based on the TV series of the same name, Survival Instinct, a game that I personally thought had some merit but was very rough around the edges. In the meantime, fans of both The Walking Dead and video games can look forward to Telltale’s mini-series starring Michonne which arrives next month.
