Next Friday the sequel to 2014’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, arrives and will interpret characters like Krang, Baxter Stockman, Bebop and Rocksteady for the first time in a movie as well as introduce a new Casey Jones played by Arrow’s Stephen Amell. Like this year’s Batman V. Superman, Prelude to Civil War and Countdown to Apocalypse month-long features, I’m going to do another for the Heroes in a Half-Shell, just condensed to one week where there will be a new review or feature every day. As we’re celebrating a new TMNT film, I’m going to spend the week looking at games that were inspired by cinematic interpretations of the characters and the breakdown of the week will be as follows:

MONDAY, MAY 30TH: TMNT (2007) (XBOX 360): The first console game produced by Ubisoft after they took over the license from Konami and the Turtles’ first game on the last console generation.

TUESDAY, MAY 31ST: TMNT (2007) (NINTENDO DS): The second Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game on Nintendo’s dual-screen handheld but the first from Ubisoft.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1ST: TMNT (2008) (GAME BOY ADVANCE): This seemingly lost classic is the closest anyone has come to recapturing the magic of the Konami arcade and console classics that serves as a progenitor to Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World.

THURSDAY, JUNE 2ND: RANKING THE TMNT MOVIE GAMES: As I already looked at Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) on the 3DS back in 2014, I’m going to rank the TMNT movies games from worst to best.

FRIDAY, JUNE 3RD: TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS (XBOX 360): Though it shares the same name as next week’s film, it is not a tie-in game as it pre dated the film by almost three years.
