Sometimes, especially during the excitement of E3, it’s easy to get caught up in how gorgeous trailers can look for video games and forget that those two-three minute videos may not be indicative of what a final product will look like. Let’s not forget that not too long ago commercials aired on TV showing all the FMV cut-scenes in Final Fantasy VII which had actual in-game graphics that came nowhere close to those videos.
One game that’s not hiding behind flash, as uncovered by Dualshockers and reported on by IGN, is Insomniac’s forthcoming Spider-Man game for the PS4. Dualshockers posted a Twitter reply from Insomniac that confirmed that not only was the trailer shown last Monday all in-game assets, but they’re also running on the current version of the PS4 hardware and not the upgrade that’s expected to arrive next year.
Like we needed more reasons to get excited for Insomniac’s Spider-Man, right?
