Last week’s revival of both Marvel Ultimate Alliance and it’s sequel were not met with the love that Marvel Games probably had hoped for. Coming in at $60 for the bundle and $40 a piece, the first game was missing DLC not found on the Gold Edition rerelease that was published on the Xbox 360, the Xbox One port arrived without achievements and the PC port had a myriad of bugs and botched controller support.
Marvel Games quickly stepped up to assure fans that patches were on the way with Bill Rosemann, the creative director at Marvel Games, taking to Twitter stating they were working with publisher Activision to sort out these issues. Activision has now issued a statement about the less than ideal state of the two games, promising that the missing DLC characters from Marvel Ultimate Alliance will arrive as free DLC characters across all three platforms: PS4, Xbox One and PC. A patch has already been issued for the PC version which will address the following:
- Controller mapping improvements that address both Xbox One and Xbox 360 buttons, triggers, and a problem specifically with the A button
- General improvements to audio and fixes for the crackling sounds
- Improvements to player invitations for Marvel Ultimate Alliance
- UI updates and fixes for desync/disconnection issues when playing online
