Voice actors who do work in the field of video games took to the picket lines late last month to strike for better working conditions and fairer compensation for the strenuous and important work they do that help make the games we play that much better. Sadly this means that until this strike is over, actors who make a living doing this type of work are losing their livelihood, and games that require their talent are being put on the back burner until a deal that can be met.
Though actors are permitted from taking new work, they’re allowed to continue recording dialogue for games that are already in production. A list was recently published indicating what games are still allowed to be worked on, and while it contains a lot of games we already knew were in the pipeline, such as Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, as well as games already out, like the free-to-play MMO Marvel Heroes, it also contains information about unannounced projects, one of which happens to be based on a Marvel property that is getting a film sequel next year: Guardians of the Galaxy.

In looking at the company behind the yet to be officially revealed Guardians of the Galaxy: The Video Game, it lists the name as O’Farrell Enterprises, LLC, which is also the same company behind The Walking Dead: Season 3. As Telltale Games is the company behind The Walking Dead, it can be inferred that this Guardians of the Galaxy game could in fact be the unannounced Telltale Marvel project; It even carries the same naming scheme as Batman: The Telltale Series.
In the list it also names a game in production from Insomniac games referred only as “I-20” which hopefully is the codename for their upcoming Spider-Man game for PlayStation 4. The “I” refers to of course the name of the developer, Incomniac, while the code number refers to the timeframe the game went into production. Insomniac broke it down on Twitter as follows:
