Seeing as it’s not the 22nd of November, it’s pretty obvious that the November launch window Telltale planned for their return to the world of The Walking Dead has been missed. That doesn’t mean that the series is missing 2016 entirely however, as Telltale announced that on December 20th the debut episode of The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier lands and I couldn’t think of a better way to get into the holiday cheer than by returning to the bleak, zombie infested world of The Walking Dead.
A New Frontier will arrive on all consoles, save the Wii U, with the first chapter costing $4.99 USD and the season pass that grants access to the other four chapters costing an additional $24.99 USD. Like Batman: The Telltale Series, a season pass disc that contains the first episode and an unlock code for the rest of the series will land in stores on February 7th, 2017 with an MSRP of $29.99 USD.
Though it carries a new name, A New Frontier is the continuation of the first and second season of The Walking Dead and will continue to star Clementine, albeit a more mature version of the character, as this takes place a few years past the conclusion of Season Two with Clem now grown into a teenager but still struggling to survive the harsh post-apocalyptic world.
