Ed Boon from Netherrealm Studios was teasing over the weekend that something Injustice 2 related would be revealed today, and it just has been in the form of a new trailer. While devoid of gameplay, it does hint at the direction the story of the sequel will take with the tagline “the lines are redrawn” suggesting that the lengths Batman took to stop Superman in the first game may have made him just as bad as the tyrant he sought to dethrone. Several characters are glimpsed throughout the trailer though none again are shown in action: Two Batman villains, Bane and Poison Ivy, as well as Brainaic who is revealed to be the narrator of the trailer and perhaps the games main antagonist and one character who is indeed confirmed to be playable, that is if you “pre-order” now, Darkseid. Watch the trailer below, and look for Injustice 2 for PS4, Xbox One and PC May 16th, 2017.
