It’s one thing to play, review and talk about an older game to help preserve its legacy, but gaining a copy of a classic game’s actual source code is another. Silicon Enthusiasts, a group of classic video game enthusiasts (check out their YouTube channel HERE) came in possession of work stations that were once in possession of the new defunct Acclaim Entertainment in an auction. Among the data on the computer was code for a never released NBA Jam title named NBA Jam Extreme and a copy of the source code for the original Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. According to Enthusiasts, Nightdive Studios who have already released a remaster of Turok have approached them about using the newly uncovered data though as of this writing, Nightdive has not commented on this claim.
