When the most recent wave of Lego Dimensions sets that came out yesterday was announced, two timed exclusives were among the list: A Knight Rider Fun Pack that you could only buy at GameStop/EB Games for a limited time as well as a The Lego Batman Movie Fun Pack featuring a new Batman titled Excalibur Batman that was to be only sold at Target for an undetermined amount of time. The Knight Rider Fun Pack didn’t affect Canadian Lego Dimensions fans because GameStop’s Canadian arm is EB Games, however Target pulled all out its stores from the country a few years ago, meaning if you wanted to buy Excalibur Batman in Canada, you either had to wait or buy it online and incur some high shipping costs.
Those who live in Canada however are in luck, as the Excalibur Batman is in fact not an exclusive, and I know this because I’m in possession of one as of this morning that I bought at Wal-Mart. I noticed that there was a SKU for the Fun Pack on the Canadian Wal-Mart website yesterday however in doing a store look up none were in my area, until this morning when two local stores had them. I at first was hesitant to check because I know someone who went to pick it up in another part of the country that had a store that according to online stock had lots of Excalibur Batman’s, only to be told by the store that they didn’t have any at all, but they did have the Story Pack which is absent from Wal-Mart Canada’s website. This led me to believe that it may have been an error and the Fun Pack should have been the Story Pack, but I ventured to a local Wal-Mart this morning only to walk away with the new Lego Batman Movie Fun Pack so Canadian shoppers should check they’re local Wal-Mart’s for the new set just in case.
