When the Nintendo Switch was announced late last year, Nintendo sent out an image showing the logos of all the third party development houses they had as working on games for their new hybrid consoles. One such company was Telltale Games, who after the January Switch event and the actual release of the console have yet to formally unveil anything for the console. Informally however, it looks like the Switch will be getting two Telltale series, one finished and one that has yet to start, if several retailers are to be believed. Retail outlets GameBuy, 365Games as well as Newegg have each put listings on their respective websites for physical copies of Batman: The Telltale Series as well as Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. Should this turn out to be true, which one could reasonably assume it is, it will be interesting to see if Batman, which only exists as a Season Pass disc on other consoles, will be the full series on a game cart.

As Telltale’s games have been on both mobile devices and consoles for some time now, their particular brand of narrative driven experiences seems like a perfect fit for Nintendo’s mobile console. I’m sure as well it wouldn’t be that much trouble to port their games to the Switch given the flexibility of their engine. Despite putting out a few games on the Wii, Telltale skipped the Wii U entirely save Minecraft: Story Mode. When asked about their products coming to the Switch, Telltale made a statement exclusively about Guardians of the Galaxy but made no mention of Batman:

“Guardians of the Galaxy is slated to premiere digitally in 2017 on consoles, PC, and mobile devices,”
