RUMOR: NEW BATMAN GAME FROM WB GAMES COMING TO E3 2017

The last we heard anything about the future of WB Games mega successful Batman franchise, it was that the next game would be a sequel to 2013’s Batman: Arkham Origins titled Batman: Arkham Insurgence from the folks at WB Games Montreal. That rumor was circulating late last night from an ex-WB Games employee and since such time, nothing has been confirmed or formally announced by WB Games formal. From Arkhamverse.com who uncovered the information from Costa Rican publication Up2Play, it looks like whatever WB Games has commissioned, whether it’s the sequel to Batman: Arkham Origins or the also rumored Damian Wayne led Batman: Arkham Knight sequel could show up at this year’s E3 2017 trade show. Up2Play published images of the show’s exhibitors and what games they’re planning to bring and WB Games title card mentions Batman 2017 alongside the Middle-Earth sequel Shadow of War.

Arkahmverse has some interesting thoughts about the image, with the most interesting being that the game is simply listed as Batman 2017 with no mention of the Arkham universe whatsoever. The other is the inclusion of the asterisk, as Batman, along with two Ubisoft games, are marked as such and next to games without them that we already know about, leading them to infer that this game won’t show up before E3. More as it develops…

  1. According to Kotaku’s Jason Schreier and Roger Craig Smith “Batman: Arkham Insurgency” is fake. If this rumour is true we will get the Damian game at E3.
