WARNING: SPOILERS FOLLOW FOR BATMAN: THE TELLTALE SERIES
Following in the steps of Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series which had its own prequel comic this summer, Batman: The Enemy Within will get a similar prequel comic series that will add depth to the events between Batman: The Telltale Series and Batman: The Enemy Within. Titled Batman: Sins of the Fathers, the digital first comic will arrive on February 12th, 2018 with a print issue to follow on the 21st of the same month and will run for a total of six print issues. The series will be written by Christos Gage, a collaborator with Dan Slott on The Amazing Spider-Man, with art duties being handled by Raffaele Ienco. In an e-mail sent to IGN, Gage had this to say about the series:
“I love the bold choices the Telltale Games folks made in their approach to Batman, by having Bruce Wayne discover his father was part of a criminal conspiracy. I’m excited to contribute to this world and I can’t wait for fans to see Raffaele bring the story to life. He is a great match to the visual style of the game, while adding his unique, hard-hitting take to it,”.
Lenco added:
“I’m thrilled to be making my DC debut drawing such a high-profile character like Batman, as well as working alongside the fantastic Christos Gage and our editor, Jim Chadwick. I can’t wait to share what Gage and I have cooked up for the fans of this series.”
