And once upon a time it was shocking when Hellboy was announced as a playable fighter for Injustice 2.
Yesterday evening the characters that make up Injustice 2’s third fighter pack were unveiled, and like the second, it had a welcome and surprising reveal to say the least. We knew some time ago that the Atom was going to be a part of Fighter Pack 3, and he is joined by the Enchantress and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Not Leo, or Raph, or Mikey OR Donnie, but all of the brothers:
The TMNT are no stranger to fighting games nor DC crossovers. The Turtles were the star of five unique fighting games: three separate versions of TMNT: Tournament Fighters their way to the SNES, Genesis and NES; The Power Stone inspired brawler based on the 2003 animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Melee came to the PS2, GC and original Xbox and the Super Smash Bros. clone, TMNT: Smash-Up, that was released on the Wii and PS2. DC partnered up with IDW for a Batman/TMNT crossover mini-series that will get a sequel coming this December as well as Batman/TMNT Adventures which mashed up the Turtles with the Batman: The Animated Series universe.
