Arriving next week is the latest comic book inspired LEGO title from developer TT Games, LEGO DC Super-Villains. The game will still include all the things you love in a LEGO game like smashing objects to collect fountains of studs and plenty of laughs, but what seperates this from the various other LEGO DC and Marvel games of this type is that you’ll be playing, as the title suggets, super-villains. Characters like Joker, Lex Luthor, Harley Quinn and Captain Cold are teaming up to fight badder guys in the form of the Justice Society, villains from an alternate universe who are posing as heroes to gain the trust of the public.
The launch trailer for the game that released today shows off the new character creation mode, a feature that was always in the various superhero themed LEGO games but is now part of the plot as you play as the character you create. You also hear the gleeful voice of Mark Hamill, voicing the Joker for the first time in a LEGO game, and returning Clancy Brown who has been a fan favorite Lex Luthor since Superman: The Animated Series.
LEGO DC Super-Villains arrives October 16th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC in both standard and deluxe editions. The deluxe edition gives access to the Season Pass which will allow you to download characters from the various DC themed shows and levels based on upcoming DC films like Aquaman.
