Streaming December 6th online, the list of nominees for this year’s Game Awards were just announced and Marvel’s Spider-Man is a contender in seven categories. With just one more nomination, Marvel’s Spider-Man would have matched the eight nominations awarded to critically acclaimed hits God of War (2018) and Red Dead Redemption II. The top category in which Marvel’s Spider-Man is in is Game of the Year, where it has to compete with God of War (2018), Red Dead Redemption II, Capcom’s Monster Hunder: World, the indie hit Celeste and Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Other categories that Marvel’s Spider-Man falls in are best game direction, best narrative, best score/music, best action/adventure, best audio design and best performance for Yuri Lowenthal as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
