Just one day before the release of Mortal Kombat 11, data miners discovered the identity of potential guest characters that would be added to the game through DLC (NOTE: do not hit the link if you do not want to be spoiled), one of which that has been rumored for an appearance in a NetherRealm developed game since Mortal Kombat X: Todd McFarlane’s Spawn. Ed Boon, co-creator of the Mortal Kombat franchise and creative director at NetherRealm, has teased an announcement regarding the potential new additions to Mortal Kombat 11 for today which just went live and it confirms that Spawn is indeed coming back to the fighting game arena as a guest character once more.
At the conclusion of the trailer which shows off Shang Tsung, voiced by a returning Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa from 1995’s live-action Mortal Kombat film, a list of names of other fighters coming to the game via the Kombat Pack begins which includes Spawn. Though it doesn’t say who they are, the teaser hints at two other guest characters, both of which were also possibly leaked during from the data miners who got their hands on the game early.
