MARVEL’S IRON MAN VR DELAYED TO MAY 15TH

This week’s forecast has called for a storm of video game delays. On top of moving Marvel’s Avengers from May 15th to September, Square-Enix delayed their hotly anticipated remake of the beloved Final Fantasy VII into April. Following those were CD Projekt Red’s follow-up to The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, Cyberpunk 2077,which followed Marvel’s Avengers, into the fall and now joining the club is Marvel’s Iron Man VR, originally scheduled to arrive at the very end of next month. Camouflaj, the developer behind Marvel’s Iron Man VR, announced via their official Twitter account today that Marvel’s Iron Man VR would now be taking Marvel’s Avengers original release date of May 15th.

This can only really mean good things for the project as the team at Camouflaj will get more time to work on their game to make it as good as it can possibly be, but it certainly does sting a little that we’re going to have to wait a little while longer to suit up as Iron Man, especially coming off of the announcement of the delay of Marvel’s Avengers from just a few days ago. At the same time it’s also refreshing to see games based on comic book licenses being afforded the luxury to move their release dates. If you look back on many comic book games, you always have to stop and wonder what they would’ve looked like with just a little more time. Now we’re in an era where publishers see the value in comic book video games instead of rushing a game based on a popular license to market.
