After a brief delay, The Avengers in Video Games: A Guide to Solo Adventures and Mighty Marvel Team-Ups, with Creator Interviews is now available for purchase.
A follow-up to my first book, The Web of Spider-Man Games: The Amazing and the (Not So) Spectacular, The Avengers in Video Games covers in great detail the titles starring Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and Captain America. Just like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it then moves into the video games where these heroes join forces to become the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
Though there are games featured in The Avengers in Video Games that have been covered here, all pieces included are written from the ground up and are unique to the book. So for example, the somewhat dated reviews of Sega’s Iron Man games has been given a new level of evaluation coming from the years of experience of creating material for this site.
The big selling point, however, is the inclusion of interviews from the makers of such amazing games as The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Thor: God of Thunder and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 among others. Needless to say it was an absolute pleasure speaking to the talented folks in the development community, and I hope everyone gets just as much enjoyment reading these stories as I did the first time I saw them.
The Avengers in Video Games is available from such outlets as Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Indigo in Canada. I would like to thank everyone at McFarland & Company for giving me the opportunity to share my passion for comic book themed video games in a way I never thought possible.
