It’s hard to believe that we’re coming up on the 1-year anniversary of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, the outstanding retro inspired arcade brawler from developer Tribute Games and publishing partner Dotemu. It still feels like just yesterday everyone was rushing to their console of choice to stomp the Foot Clan with their friends online whilst rocking out to an amazing soundtrack.
Just like it was when the game was announced out of nowhere to much excitement, today the news dropped that Shredder’s Revenge will be getting new downloadable content sometime later this year. Titled Dimension Shellshock, the update will being a new mode, environments, colors for the main cast – some that even make them look like their straight out of an NES game – and new characters including Usagi Yojimbo.
No cost or release date has been given thus far for Dimension Shellshock, but if it’s anything at all like the base game, it will be well worth the wait and price.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is available now on the PlayStation and Xbox family of consoles, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Oh yes, I remember reviewing the base game! I love how much it plays like the arcade games of the past while adding new flavour. It’s spectacular.
