THE SHADOW OF OBLIVION WILL CAST LATER THIS MONTH AS TUROK 3 GETS A BRIEF DELAY

This fall has seen all but one comic book video game, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, get a delay of some sort. Hellboy: Web of Wyrd exchanged its early October release date for one 2 days before Insomniac’s sequel, and Batman: Arkham Trilogy, a game that was originally slated to launch on October 13th, will now arrive on December 1st as of this writing.

Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Remastered is also joining those ranks of games we’ll have to wait just a little bit more longer for. When it was announced in August, the rerelease of the concluding chapter of the Turok Nintendo 64 trilogy was scheduled for November 14th. Its new release date is now November 30th, which happens to be the day before the entire Arkham trilogy lands on the Nintendo Switch. What Hellboy was to Spider-Man, Turok now is to Batman.

The explanation for the delay was provided by Nightdive’s own Samuel Villarreal via his Twitter account. In their own words:

Game development is complicated, and with Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Remastered set to hit every version of the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, the Xbox Series consoles plus the Nintendo Switch and PC, problems were sure to arise. Hopefully this will be the last bug that the studio has to squash with the Cerebral Bore and we’ll all be playing the best possible version of Turok 3 by the end of the month.
