Sometimes it’s really hard to be a fan of comic book games, what with all the news and game announcements outside of Batman: Arkham Knight and the Lego games being mostly unexciting free-to-play and mobile games.
But some mornings, you wake up and find news like this in your Twitter feed.
Announced yesterday evening in San Francisco, the company behind games like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, Telltale Games, have entered into a partnership with Marvel and will bring a new series based in the Marvel Universe starting in 2017. That’s about all there is to report on this point as no idea was given exactly what property, or perhaps properties, they’ll use for the series. Personally after watching Netflix’s Daredevil I think that character would be a good fit for the Telltale model as the costume adventuring within that series took a back seat to character moments on both the sides of the heroes and the villains. Another great property could be the Inhumans which as of late has become a little like Game of Thrones, a series Telltale is also working on, with the different Inhuman socities and hierarchy butting heads with one another.
What would you like to see Telltale tackle?
well being a Marvel comics fan I can assure everyone of one thing- Things will just keep getting amazing….

I’m insanely curious as to what it’s going to be. Will it be a universe spanning game or something more intimate like a Daredevil or She-Hulk? Why is it so far away?!!!!!!

I really don’t care what it’s gonna be! All I care about is the fact that I’m FINALLY getting Marvel video games for CONSOLES y’all! And they’re developed by the Telltale!
I can’t describe how stoked I am right now. I mean this is one of the reasons I follow this blog. I wanted to share my dissatisfaction with others, who also know a thing or two about comic book games, and to jump with excitement alongside other comic gamers.
