KEVIN CONROY FEELS THE SAME WAY AS YOU DO ABOUT HIM APPEARING IN A JUSTICE LEAGUE GAME

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT CONTAINED WITHIN

Ask a lot of people who there personal favourite Batman is, and they won’t say Adam West, Michael Keaton, Christian Bale or Ben Affleck. They’ll say it’s Kevin Conroy, the legendary actor who started voicing Bruce Wayne/Batman in the classic Batman: The Animated Series and has continued with the role for decades in other animated series, theatrical as well as direct to video films and of course, video games. Most recently you can hear Kevin as the voice of Batman in the recently released Batman: Arkham Knight.

In a recent interview Conroy was asked if he would be willing to lend his talents to a Rocksteady developed Justice League game, should such a project ever come to fruition and his response was “Oh yeah! Absolutely…I would love to do that. It’s really hard to record games and very hard to create them, but the result is so rewarding that it makes it worthwhile at the end.”

A tiny problem which Kevin recognizes is the fate of Batman at the conclusion of Arkham Knight. “I just hope they figure out some way to have [Batman: Arkham Knight] segue into a new chapter, but I don’t know how they could because it’s such a frightening ending,…It’s such a great concept, of Batman fighting his way out of Arkham, the different battles he’s gotten into in Arkham, I’d hate to think that is the end of that story. I understand it’s the third part of the trilogy and it’s the end of the arc, but I hope they can figure out some way to translate it into something else. I don’t know how they could, though, because the end is so frightening.”

Rocksteady has said in the past that this is their final Batman game, but peppered throughout Gotham in Arkham Knight are numerous references to DC characters outside of the Batman universe, the most prevalent being Superman. Could those Easter Eggs be pointing to the developer who defined how to make an amazing Batman game wanting to challenge themselves with a new character, or even characters? Here’s hoping.
