Fresh off this summer’s Secret Wars mini-series spin-off based on the classic Avengers/Guardians of the Galaxy crossover The Korvac Saga, Michael Korvac has now been announced to be joining the roster of next year’s Lego Marvel’s The Avengers. Korvac initially was a technician from the future who was captured by the alien race known as the Badoon. They eventually imprisoned him in the body of a cyborg and after scanning the powers of the Grandmaster in his new form, Korvac used his new-found ability to return to the present time in the Marvel universe where he downloaded the power of Galactus and became a God. A loose retelling of the story was also the subject of an episode of the animated series The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
