Rocksteady released their final game in the Arkham trilogy this year, but the studio behind 2013’s Batman: Arkham Origins is just beginning their work in the DC Universe. The studio behind Origins, as well as the Batgirl DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight titled A Matter of Family, are hiring for not one, but two, games in the DC Universe according to a hiring bulletin on their website announcing a “focused on expanding the DC Comics universe in the interactive space.”
This begs the question as to what properties WB Games Montreal are working on. Now that Rocksteady is out of the Batman business, it would make sense to hand the franchise off to the studio with the most experience working on the character. There’s also the matter of the long in development Suicide Squad game that was revealed in name only over three years ago who also have a movie hitting in August. It’s also been a long time, close to a decade in fact, that Superman has been away from the video game world, and with Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice hitting in a few months as well as Supergirl having her own show on CBS, public awareness of the resident aliens of Krypton is at an all time high.
What property do you hope WB Games Montreal is working on?
