PLATINUM STUDIOS RUMORED TO BE WORKING ON AN M-RATED TMNT GAME SUB-TITLED MUTANTS IN MANHATTAN

Platinum Studios, it seems, has a very good relationship with mega publisher Activision. After releasing a downloadable only game based on the animated series The Legend of Korra in 2013, they went on to reinvigorate the Transformers franchise with this year’s nostalgia heavy Transformers: Devastation. Now, according to Australia’s Classification Board as well as Brazil’s Ministry of Justice, the beloved Japanese developer will once again be mining a beloved 80’s property with a rumored M-rated TMNT game potentially in the works sub-titled Mutants in Manhattan. The last turtles game published by Activision was last year’s Danger of the Ooze by developer Wayforward which released on last generation consoles only, as well as the 3DS. Should the rumor turn out to be true, this latest TMNT game will release on PS3/4, Xbox 360/One as well as PC. So far the only way to play as the heroes in a half-shell on current-gen consoles is as skaters in the critically panned Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5.

Now, if only they can find time to make that Spider-Gwen game…
