Marvel has done a lot of interesting variant covers over the years, from most recently with their takes on classic hip-hop albums to Lego versions of classic Marvel characters around the time that Lego Marvel Super Heroes came out in 2013. Never before, however, have they used their characters as they appear in Disney Infinity on a cover, which will change next month with the release of Black Panther #1.
The character of Black Panther is getting quite the push from Marvel in the coming months. He’ll launch as a Disney Infinity Figure on March 15th alongside the Marvel Battlegrounds play set, a new ongoing comic starting in April which will lead up to the characters appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War where the character will appear with the likes of Iron Man, Captain America, and even Spider-Man, who will also appear in an official MCU film for the first time as well.
