MARVEL HAS HEARD YOUR DESIRE FOR MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 4

The Marvel Vs. Capcom series had a very welcome resurgence late last decade with the PSN/XBLX rererelease of fan favourite entry Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 followed by a sequel two years later in Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and its subsequent upgrade, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 months after that. Since 2011 though, the series has once again gone quiet, leaving us wondering if or when the two juggernauts will ever face off with one another again.

In an interview with the website Polygon, Marvel Games vice-president Jay Ong was asked if there would ever be an MVC4 to which the obvious reply was “There’s nothing we can say at this time,”, however Ong also stated that you should never say never and they’re well aware at Marvel Games of the demand for the game. He added:

“Let’s just say that we hear that a lot. We love our fans and we certainly want to please them. Beyond that we can’t say anything at this time. But who knows what the future holds?”

Capcom lately has been very adamant about resurrecting their most beloved IP’s, with this year seeing the release of Street Fighter V and the announcement last week that not only is Resident Evil VII coming, but it’s coming in January of next year. If both last year’s and this year’s E3 proved anything, it’s that you should never give up hope when it comes to a beloved series making an unexpected comeback.
