Having been leaked last month from a ratings listing, it’s now official: Marvel Ultimate Alliance and its sequel Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 are coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC and a lot sooner than you think. The games will be made available digitally either as a bundle or sold separately this coming Tuesday, July 26th. Individually the games will set you back $39.99 USD a piece or $59.99 together. The games will both be largely unchanged from their last gen counterparts, but will have an enhanced UI as well as graphical and performance upgrades.
This marks the tenth anniversary of the Marvel Ultimate Alliance series, a follow-up to the X-Men Legends action-RPG series where players can assemble a team of four characters to take down the deadliest villains of the Marvel Universe. The first game in the series told an original story featuring villains like Ultron, Loki and Doctor Doom, while the sequel was largely inspired by the events of the first Civil War event.
