BATMAN: ARKHAM VR PLAYSTATION VR EXCLUSIVE UNTIL MARCH 2017

The VR war has officially started this year with the Oculus device and Vive in the hands of gamers already, and next week the PlayStation exclusive PS VR headset lands in stores on Thursday the thirteenth of October. Those who have a strong desire to play the Rocksteady developed Batman: Arkham VR who already own a VR capable system will have to pay up for a new headset, as well as a PlayStation 4 if you don’t have one already, as it is exclusive to that VR platform but only until March of next year according to an ad on Sony’s Facebook book uncovered by Neogaf. Another VR experience exclusive to Sony’s platform for a much longer period of time, twelve months, is Capcom’s Resident Evil 7, though unlike Arkham VR, it can be played on a regular TV.

Launching next week along with the PS VR headset after being announced at E3 this year, Batman: Arkham VR is a stand alone experience developed by Arkham series developer Rocksteady set in the same universe, complete with Mark Hamill reprising his role as the Joker. In Canada it will sell for $29.99 and of this writing, there has been no indication about what other platforms could potentially be getting the game past March 2017.
