In the fall of the same year that the original Injustice: Gods Among Us was released in 2013, an “Ultimate Edition” was released that contained all the downloadable content that came out post launch. This edition was available on two of the platforms it was released on: Xbox 360 and PS3, as well as the at the time new PlayStation 4. Unfortunately those who chose the Xbox One over the PS4 had to settle with keeping their Xbox 360’s hooked up if they wanted to play the elseworld’s DC comics fighter as the Ultimate Edition skipped that console, that is until today however when this…well, injustice has been rectified for the Microsoft faithful.
Announced via Major Nelson’s blog today, both the original Injustice: Gods Among Us as well as its Ultimate Edition rerelase have now joined the list of backwards compatible games on the Xbox One so fans who own either copy can refamiliarize themselves with the universe in time for Injustice 2 before it launches in 2017.
