There’s only been one Watchmen video game to date, the downloadable brawler that was split into two parts and titled Watchmen: The End is Night, a game that I looked earlier this year that didn’t leave any type of pleasant lasting impression. Before The End is Nigh was pitched however, a completely different beast of a game nearly made it into production from Mark of Kri developer Bottle Rocket that would’ve featured three playable characters instead of two: Rorschach, Nite Owl as well as the Comedian, focusing on how the trio’s action affected history over the years leading up to the 2009 film. The details of the lost Watchmen game were uncovered by video game historian Liam Robertson who in his extensive research uncovered that Bottle Rocket also pitched an Iron Man game to Marvel and a take on Batman to WB Games.
