Ed Boon, the creative director of Netherrealm Studios the makers of Mortal Kombat and Injustice, just tweeted out the release date for the anticipated sequel, Injustice 2:
From the tweet it reveals that we can play the sequel to 2013’s Injustice: Gods Among Us in just over five months on May 16th, which is two days away from my birthday so if people want to send some EB Games gift cards my way it would be very much appreciated. The original Injustice launched in a similar spring time window: April 2013. Injustice 2 continues the story from the original game set in a world where a tragedy causes Superman to denounce his heroic ways and instead become a tyrannical leader of the planet Earth, only opposed by Batman and a motley group of rebellious heroes and villains from the DC Comics universe.
