FIRST SCREENS, CAST, DETAILS AND LAUNCH WINDOW FOR GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: THE TELLTALE SERIES

Telltale has finally broken their radio silence and given us some more information about their upcoming game Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. Previously all we had to go on was heresy from a Gamestop pre-order preview but now there’s firm details straight from the developer. The series will debut this spring close to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. however will not in any way be affiliated with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though it isn’t tied to the films, it will feature the same core cast from the first film: Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Rocket Raccoon and Groot. The cast for the series is as follows:

  • Star-Lord: Scott Porter
  • Gamora: Emily O’Brien
  • Rocket Raccoon: Nolan North (returning as the voice of Rocket from Disney Infinity)
  • Drax: Brandon Paul Ellis
  • Groot: Adam Harrington

The synopsis of the game is also as follows:

In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of them has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind, and who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands.

Even more details are expected to come tomorrow at 6PM EST during PAX East where members of Telltale, as well as Marvel Games’ Bill Rosemann, will be on hand. During the SXSW event next week, those in attendance will also be able to see the first episode played via crowd play.
