Marvel Heroes, the PC exclusive Marvel MMO that’s been going strong for many a year now is finally coming to consoles in the just announced Marvel Heroes Omega. Details are scarce right now as to how the game or when the game will roll out, for example how will the controls work and will the game be streamlined more like Marvel Ultimate Alliance. What we can expect is a huge roster of heroes, just like the PC game, including the likes of Spider-Man, the Defenders, The Avengers, X-Men and Guardians of the Galaxy including many more. Omega will feature a nine chapter story campaign that will span locations like Hell’s Kitchen and Asgard as well as feature villains like Loki and Doctor Doom. Of course you’ll be able to meet up with friends and play, just like any MMO, and play what I’m sure will be hours of post game content as well.
A closed beta is set to commence this spring and more details will be released in the future as to when people can sign up for it. As someone who doesn’t own a gaming PC and clearly loves comic book games, this is something I’ve been hoping would happen for quite some time and I’m sure I’m not alone in that.
UPDATE: Marvel Heroes Omega is also coming to the Xbox One. It too will get a beta but at an unspecified date.
