Sony’s currently ongoing PlayStation Experience event didn’t come with any new trailer, gameplay footage, or a release date for next year’s highly anticipated Marvel’s Spider-Man from Insomniac, but we did learn more about the writing team behind the title. Assisting Insomniac’s lead writer Jon Paquette are the writing team of Dan Slott and Christos Gage. Slott has been writing Spider-Man for close to a decade now and Gage has been one of his most frequent collaborators. In his time with Spider-Man, Dan Slott has risen Peter Parker from a couch surfing, unemployed super hero to a part of a major technological think tank company and even a company owning CEO, all the while keeping those elements within the character that make him relatable to the everyman. Slott is most well-known for swapping Peter’s mind with that of the villanous Doctor Octopus in the beloved Superior Spider-Man saga and in the past has contributed to Activision’s Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. Hear Slott talk about his role on Marvel’s Spider-Man in the latest behind-the-scenes video and listen to the latest episode of This Week in Marvel at the link below.
