From Nintendo to Sony and Sega, game companies are seeing the value in releasing their classic video game content in nostalgia shells. New to the arena is a new challenger, Capcom, but their definition of a dedicated device is a little bit more ambitious. Capcom Home Arcade is a dedicated plug-and-play, two-player arcade stick shaped like the companies logo that comes pre-packaged with sixteen legacy games. It connects to any television via HDMI and on-board wi-fi allows you to upload your high-scores online. The list of games includes:
- 1944: The Loop Master
- Alien Vs. Predator
- Armored Warriors
- Capcom Sports Club
- Captain Commando
- Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness
- Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
- Eco Fighters
- Final Fight
- Ghouls ’N Ghosts
- Gigawing
- Mega Man: The Power Battle
- Progear
- Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting
- Strider
- Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
What’s interesting about the list is it will mark the first time anyone has been able to take home in any form Capcom’s Alien Vs. Predator arcade game. Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness is also notably as it was the game where Jin, a character players might recognize from the Marvel vs. Capcom series, saw their debut. Capcom Home Arcade is expected to release on October 25th of this year and you can pre-order now if you reside in the UK. Capcom promises that North America details will be coming very shortly.
