Announced late last year at The Game Awards, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order was since only given a vague “summer 2019” release date from a Nintendo Direct last February. That window is now a lot more narrower as we now know when players will be able to pick up the Nintendo Switch exclusive thanks to Nintendo’s own Twitter account: July 19th, 2019.
Along with the release date, the tweet also contained the final box art for the game which reveals some characters that were not previously seen in other trailers like X-Men universe characters such as Deadpool and Nightcrawler, the Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Strange, Daredevil and hot off their appearance in the Academy Award winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Miles Morales and Ghost Spider. Developed by Team Ninja and published by Nintendo, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 will be the first new entry in the series in almost ten years when it drops it just over three months time.
