Google Play Pass, the subscription service that allows you to play a variety of mobile games ad free and devoid of microtransactions, just got a little more marvelous. Zen Studios, the studio responsible for Operencia: The Stolen Sun and the upcoming CastleStorm II, just announced via Twitter that their Marvel PInball tables are being added to Google Play Pass. Before you start racing to sign up if you aren’t already, you should be mindful of the country you live in. Right now this offer is only available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
Recently Zen Studios has been branching out into new titles, but what helped put the independent studio on the map in the big way is their digital pinball tables, of which Marvel Comics played a big part. Zen’s tables not only make for some great pinball fun, even on the go, but they also utilize the licenses they acquire in some spectacular ways. For the table based on 2012’s Marvel’s The Avengers for example, the table manages to communicate the plot of the film in the medium of pinball, even going as far to allow you to select a ball that represents your favorite Avenger.
In 2016, with the help of Nighthawk Interactive, Zen compiled some of their Marvel tables in a physical package dubbed Marvel PInball: Epic Collection Vol.1. in our review we said:
