Unless any further delays are announced, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the next game from Rocksteady Studios whose last release was Batman: Arkham VR in 2016, arrives May 26th. Existing in the Arkham universe that kicked off with Batman: Arkham Asylum in 2009, Kill the Justice League sees a team consisting of Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, King Shark and Deadshot assembled to terminate the likes of Superman, Batman and the Flash who are being controlled by Brainiac.
Days after its release, a prequel comic published by DC will dive into the events leading up to the game’s story. Starting on May 30th, the first in what’s a five-issue limited series from John Layman and Jesús Hervás kicks off in Suicide Squad: Kill Arkham Asylum. Presumably following the conclusion of Batman: Arkham Knight, Amanda Waller has taken over custody of the iconic asylum, however her motives as always are a recruitment drive for Task Force X.
Similar to last year’s Batman: Gotham Knights – Gilded City, itself a prelude to the events of Gotham Knights, Kill Arkham Asylum will come with codes that can be redeemed for in-game items.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League arrives May 26th, 2023 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC.
