TMNT: MUTANTS UNLEASHED WILL CONTINUE WHERE MUTANT MAYHEM LEFT OFF LATER THIS YEAR

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans are eating well in the video game space these past few years. We’ve already the had excellent Shredder’s Revenge and The Cowabunga Collection with Wrath of the Mutants less than 2 months away from release. Let’s also not forget the in-development adaptation of The Last Ronin too.

Adding to that already stacked list is the game now known as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed. Revealed in early September last year, Mutants Unleashed hails from publisher Outright Games – those responsible for our 2023 game of the year – and is a sequel of sorts to the animated feature Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. From the official synopsis:

“In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed, after finally being accepted into society and pursuing their dream of attending a regular high school, the Turtles’ newfound happiness is abruptly interrupted by a new wave of mutants causing unrest across New York City. Players take control of the four masked heroes, each with their own unique playstyle, as they traverse the sewers and city streets of New York. With an immersive world to explore both above and below ground, meet familiar faces as the ragtag heroes in a half shell gear up to delight fans at home with their chaotic capers. Players can get ready to order in a pizza and adventure solo or team up with a friend in two player local co-op mode later this year.”

Outright Games DC output was developed by PHL Collective, however Mutants Unleashed will hail from A Heartful of Games. Like PHL Collective, they’ve also worked with Outright in the past having crafted DreamWorks Dragons: Legends of The Nine Realms.
