FIRST TRAILER FOR LEGO MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS

WB Games, TT Games and Lego have got quite the busy year ahead of them what with Lego Jurassic World coming this Friday, Lego Dimensions hitting in September, and Lego Worlds in beta. It would almost make you think that the announcement from earlier in the year that there was going to be a Lego Marvel’s The Avengers game this fall was a dream, or something you thought up. Thankfully TT and WB Games are here to remind us that yes, Lego Marvel’s The Avengers is still a priority and coming this fall with the first ever trailer. The game is said to focus on the first and second Avengers film however the trailer focuses mainly on the first movie, which is smart as Age of Ultron is still in theatres as of this writing and there maybe one, maybe even TWO people who haven’t seen it yet.

I’m still somewhat disappointed that this isn’t going to be a full on Lego Marvel Super Heroes sequel and focusing on the movies, however the bits where the trailer riffed on famous moments from Marvel’s The Avengers reminded me that you know what, ANY Lego Marvel games is a good thing.

  1. I would’ve liked to see some indication as to whether or not it’s going to be in the style of the Lego Lord of the Rings game and use audio from the Avengers films. The contrast between the epic cinematic audio and the cute lego visuals was one of the best parts of an already great game. Doing the same thing for Lego Avengers would help it stand apart from Lego Marvel Super Heroes, since this trailer could easily be mistaken as DLC.

    • That’s something I hope they do, and I hope give some more info at E3 next week. This game was announced in what, January or February and this is the first trailer…and it’s coming in the fall. I did laugh at the Hulk selfie bit and like that they’re doing the Lego twist on the movies. Also it’s kinda bonkers to think that were FINALLY get an Avengers movie games…three and a half years after the fact.
